The Bar

One of the original spaces in the Club House. Called the ‘Men’s Area’ in 1939, the ‘Men’s Bar’ thereafter and now simply ‘The Bar’, it was an exclusive male preserve that welcomed the only telephone in the building but kept ladies at an arm’s length from the door till 2015. Taxidermy heads, shields and vintage weaponry adorn its walls.
