Banquets

Named in memory of Brigadier R. C. R. Hill, the longest serving President of the club. Built in 1907 following promises made to make the ladies ‘as comfortable as possible’ and ‘improve the attendance’, it was carefully restored in 2003-2004 by conservation architects to preserve its antiquity. Subscription dances, Bridge tournaments, Whist drives, Tombola evenings, music and theatre performances, talks, lectures, picture and Christmas card sales, cabarets and dance classes were once held in its magnificent Ballroom which houses a sprung wood dance floor, a Band Gallery and Corinthian columns.

Once the Supper Room, the Ladies Bridge Room and later an extension of the library, badminton was also played here in 1908 against a backdrop of books.

Named after the Jacaranda tree in the patio, one of the oldest trees in the club. It was once the Mixed Bar before being used as the TV Room.
